Volt High-Density Charging Cabinet
INTRO
Volt is a high-density charging cabinet designed to maximise device capacity within a compact footprint — with concealed passive venting, fully managed internal cabling, and a minimal aesthetic available across a range of brand colours.

The client required a high-density charging cabinet capable of housing a wide range of enterprise devices within a single, scalable enclosure.
The product needed to maximise internal storage volume while keeping the external footprint compact, manage thermal load passively to eliminate fan noise and maintenance, and present a refined aesthetic suitable for both back-of-house and customer-facing deployment.
Manufacturing cost and assembly simplicity were key commercial constraints.

MAKE developed Volt around a structural approach in which robustness is achieved through geometric efficiency rather than material excess. The enclosure geometry creates a large internal volume relative to external dimensions, while folded metal construction provides rigidity without complex fabrication processes.
Volt's concealed Air-Bridge venting system routes fresh air in around each door aperture and exhausts warm air through corresponding vents, establishing a passive convective flow path through the full height of the cabinet. This achieves effective thermal management for a fully loaded cabinet without fans, motors, or powered cooling — eliminating noise, energy consumption, and a common maintenance failure point.
Internal cable management is fully resolved within the design: all charging cables are routed and retained out of sight so the cabinet interior remains organised regardless of device configuration. An accent colour rail and contrasting lock bezel provide the only visual punctuation on an otherwise minimal exterior, enabling straightforward colour customisation for branded deployments.

A charging cabinet that cools itself, hides its own cabling, and adapts to any brand palette. Proof that thermal performance and a genuinely minimal aesthetic were never actually in conflict — only rarely resolved together.
